Traditional companies from the Salzkammergut agree on coffee partnership

With the Nussbaumer roasting plant (founded in 1935), which is run by the fourth generation of the family, a regional partner for unique coffee enjoyment has been found!

“We increasingly try to source all our products as regionally as possible, but always with a commitment to the absolute highest level of quality. The Nussbaumer roastery is a prime example of honest craftsmanship from the Salzkammergut – after all, it is located on the beautiful Traunsee in Gmunden. It’s fun to watch the “own blend” being created and to be able to check the quality immediately,” Philipp Zauner.

Since spring 2021, the finest Arabica varieties from Nussbaumer can now be found in the traditional cups of the Zauner confectionery: over the winter months, a specially created “Zauner house blend” was even developed for this purpose, which can be found in the Zauner online shop in a racy espresso and mild standard version.

By the way, the coffee is roasted in the centre of Gmunden by Marlene Drack, Austria’s youngest coffee roaster at the age of 22. She learned her trade from grandfather Manfred Drack, who has been working in the family business for over 5 decades.

Haus Zauner is aware of the importance of honest craftsmanship and regionality due to its almost 190 years of existence in the heart of the Salzkammergut.

Thus, it is also possible to rely on regional partners for other products: Zauner obtains only organic free-range eggs (annual requirement about 400,000 pieces) from the Mühlviertel for the daily production of flour dishes, the kitchen brigade relies on meat from the certified organic butcher Burgstaller from Vöcklamarkt and also when purchasing all other basic products, products from regional and organic origin are always preferred!
